You can strain the powder through a strainer to best store it. You can also add water and a little sugar and you have baobab juice.

While green they are excellent added to soups, boiled like potatoes, sliced thin and fried or baked for banana chips, or sliced thick and fried for tostones. Now that the local limes are diminishing, my grafted Tahitian lime tree is bearing its first crop of big, beautiful limes. The health benefits of lime include weight loss, skin care, good digestion, relief from constipation, eye care, and treatment of scurvy, piles, peptic ulcer, respiratory disorders, gout, gums, urinary disorders, etc. These limes are perfect in juices, cocktails, sauces or dressings. Drink a glass of water with the juice of one lime squeezed into it just a few times each day and watch as your waist grows smaller!

For the record, its most commonly known as the Kaffir Lime, however the word 'kaffir' is a racist term to insult black Africans. and besides, the tree i s natie to the subcontinent and southeast Asia, where it is known in Thailand as makrut or commonly used in the country's wonderful cuisine. The fruit is not actually classified as a true lime as far as limes go but it does however belong to a sub-species of the citrus family known as citrus hystrix or citrus amblycarpa. One health benefit generated from the limes themselves is to grate some of the rind of the fruit and add it to any fish or chicken dish. Great in stir fries and curries.
