This Week in Vi Locally Grown

Greetings!
Once again there are even more new crops coming into the market. Dolores from Bijou farm has been bringing lots of delicious herbs including Rosemary, Sage, and Basil. She also has been bringing ripe papaya and passion fruit seedlings. Chef Tahirah of Divine Delight Delectables is experimenting with new bread recipes, so come on out and taste some of her bread and let us know what you think. Ridge2Reef also has some new crops available at the market including eggplant, cucumbers, sweet and hot peppers, mangoes, carambola, and tamarind.

Also, check out the stellar CSA season Ridge2Reef is having! Just look at all that food you can get for $35!—> There is still time to join and support the territory’s only certified organic CSA. ?

We hope to see you this week! Thank you for your support of the local good food revolution!

Blessings,
Castiel and your VI Locally Grown Growers.

Greetings!
This week marks the start of R2R’s Summer CSA program. Great crops are in and some will spillover to the market! If you’d like to sign up, there is still time. We can prorate your share also. http://ridgetoreef.csasignup.com/members/types.

As for the market, we will have our usual selection of produce (sans tomatoes) + some summer fruits including mangoes and ripe bananas. Delicious! Speaking of summer, why not cool off in the hot weather with a crisp Ginger Beer from Queen’s Maubi? See you Wed!

Best,
Castiel Kailani

This Week in VI Locally Grown

Dear VI Locally Grown members,

There is a lot to choose from the market this week, including many greens, lettuce, kale, eggs, local wines, fruits, and mango pasture-raised pork cuts (chops, ham, ribs, stew) because Ridge to Reef’s CSA program draws to a close for the winter season and many crops normally sent to the CSA are available, so please help us eat some of the great organic food we are growing!
Also, our CSA has just opened up for registrations for the 2015 Summer season, starting the first week of June. Sign up for regular access to R2R’s organic produce! http://www.ridge2reef.org/csa-registration-page.html

Have a great week and we hope to see you Wednesday,

With easy breezes and filtered light coming from above. Last week we all dreamed up having a lawn concert on the site, we will see what comes out of it! Thanks for shopping with us this week and supporting our organic food growing habits. Your food is currently being tended and watered with loving care.

Have a great week and we hope to see you Wednesday,

Hello VI Locally Grown Members! So many new items are comin in, we can hardly keep up. I’ll be brining more parsley, carrots, cucumbers, eggplant, eggfruit, tamarind, etc this week. We apologize for the late start last week. Because of the holidays we had to ship our CSA the same day as the market. On that note, did you hear that last week we had our biggest shipment ever to the St Thomas at St. John schools and CSA program? 173 boxes of VI locally grown produce, yay! If you’d like more info about our CSA program, please visit here —> http://ridgetoreef.csasignup.com/members/types Thank you so much for your continued support!
