This Week in VI Locally Grown

Hello everyone,
Thanks for helping make our Honey forum a huge success! How about that mead from Wanda Wright eh? :). This week we don’t have any special events. However, if you come early you could get a tour of the lawaetz museum. Just let me know if/when you’re coming at csa@ridge2reef.org.

We’ll have lots of veggies this week, so stop on by. Why not order a local drink from Queens Maubi? It’s pretty hot for October!

Cheers

This Week in VI Locally Grown

Hello Everyone!
This is an exciting week for the market. Despite the drought, R2R Farm has a large crop of various Asian greens we just posted to the marketplace and they won’t last long! Also, we will be bringing sprouts, squash, mangoes, and avocados this week in addition to our usual assortment of vegetables.

Did you know we have over 15 growers in this Co-op? You really can get most of your shopping done here. Baked goods? Covered by Tahirah Abubaker. Flowers? Covered by multiple growers! Fruits or vegetables, same. Oh yeah, we have a new grower! Lets welcome Chad Becker! From him you can get all natural gourmet Beef, Chicken, and Turkey jerky. No unnatural preservatives. Made in St. Thomas. Awesome! Finally, Ridge2Reef’s CSA is starting on Sept 5th. A CSA is basically where you can subscribe to receive a food delivery once/week for as season. In this case it’s 12 weeks, Sept 5- Nov 25th. You can sign up here —> http://ridgetoreef.csasignup.com/members/types Even if the CSA isn’t for you, please help spread the word about this signup period and help out your local growers. If you have social media, please help share our post about the csa program—> https://www.facebook.com/groups/ridge2reef/
