The pods are extremely nutritious, containing all the essential amino acids along with many vitamins and other nutrients. The mature pods are usually fried and possess a peanut-like flavor. Moringa pods can be cooked in a variety of ways. Until they become too woody to snap, they can be cooked much like green beans. To cook, boil whole pods, after soft, peel outer layer and scrap out insides to add to your dish. Cook pods as in Pea Soup receipe. Add fleshy part of pods to lentil soup.
